Time for part 2 of my hen party shenanigans. In this blog post I go over all the amazing things from my Brighton Hen Weekend. It was an awesome couple of days with close friends and family in a rented house. My sister planned the entire thing with the help of my mum and others all chipping in too. I feel so overwhelmed to have such amazing memories to share, so I hope you enjoy seeing more.

Brighton Hen Weekend

The weekend all began on Friday afternoon when I met Sophie and Charlotte on the train. They surprised me with balloons, cupcakes and a lovely flower headband which was so lovely. We had a catch-up and got ourselves hyped for the weekend.

Once we arrived in Brighton we headed to the house where my family had been setting up the decorations. The house was rented by Crown Gardens which is an online booking site I found that specialise in big group houses, especially in Brighton. The house was perfect and my family decorated it with a mermaid theme which I absolutely loved. It was then I got to have a tour of the house and received the itinerary for the weekend. My sister did such an awesome job of deciding what to do.

Planned in was lots of games, a craft workshop with Georgie (more on this below), fun at the beach and karaoke at Lucky Voice! It was so exciting to be surprised with all of my favourite things and so much thought had gone into it.

Crafts with Beauxoxo

My lovely friend Georgie is the founder of hair accessories brand Beauxoxo. Georgie had put together an amazing craft workshop for me and the girls using her crown making kits, you can go buy them here. The kits were the perfect workshop idea for my hen as I love a flower crown and you could have any skill level to make them. Georgie brought lots of extra bits for the workshop like pompom makers, gems, and chain which was fabulous.

The crowns all looks amazing when they were finished and we all wore them out for the day at the seaside. At the seaside, we ate fish and chips and I made all my friends and family dance and lip sync for a video. It was so much fun and really felt special for everyone to be there for me and enjoy the weekend.

Outfits

The looks over the weekend were super colourful and matched the feel of Brighton! It’s no shocker that I love colour, so it was fun putting together outfits that made me feel like a ‘bride’. Below is a couple of looks from the weekend.

Outfit 1:

This first look was worn to the seafront on Saturday afternoon. The orange and pink dress is from Glamourous and is perfect for spring, with the long sleeves and floral print. I teamed it with the flower crown I made and a cute little veil.

Outfit 2:

Look 2 features this adorable pastel rainbow dress from Asos I got in the sale. It’s a simple little dress but so much fun to wear, I love it. Worn with trainers personalised with Happy Fabric slogan ‘wifey for lifey’. See how I made them here.

Mermaid to Mrs

It’s so crazy to think the wedding day is less than 2 weeks away. With the hen celebrations flying by it’s sad they have become distant but happy memories. The wedding is only going to be even more amazing now all my friends have met, hung out and got to know each other. This time of your life really does show you the value of great friendships and to cherish those that are there for you. I feel so blessed and happy I got to celebrate in Brighton with my loved ones, it was so much fun.

Let me know what you think in the comments.
