As most of you may already know by now I moved to London in March. Since moving I have loved exploring my new city especially as there is always so much to do right on my door step! However, in this post i’ll be chatting about my new home and I thought it would be nice to show some photos as haven’t done so yet. In terms of decor it isn’t where I want it to be but it will come with time due to finances and living in London makes it hard to save up for nice things. So that being said it’s so important to look after what you already own.
If I was stranded on a desert Island and could take 3 things with me:
I think it’s easy to look at what others have and can afford and compare yourself. I know I always look at my Pinterest and other peoples social channels and see this pure white amazing homes with decor to die for. For me I like to be sentimental and appreciate what I own. So if I could only take 3 things to a desert island (as difficult this was for me to choose) I know i’d choose things for random reasons.
1. Firstly, my pillow!
Bit of a weird one but I have really restless sleep when I don’t have my pillow with me. I think if I took it there would be an element of comfort and home along side me and making shelter would be a lot comfier!
2. My Bernina Sewing Machine.
Okay, so you may ask, what are you going to sew and what if there is no electricity, and of course I thought these things, BUT it is one of the items in my life that I spent the most money on and really earned. So in the real world it’s important to insure things that means a lot to you.
Obviously.. tea solves a lot of problems. I would have to drink it out of a coconut or something but hey, at least i’d be full of caffeine and happy.
So those are the things I would take but of course I’d rather stay where I am in my comfy living room with my boyfriend enjoying London life. I hope you like the few previews of my new place and my quirky way of writing about it.
