As you all know since I have been living in London, I try my best to explore and share as much of it as possible. Today’s post I am really excited about because my blogger chum Joe (Unlimited JK) and I went to Greenwich to explore, so I decided to share it with you. I want to tell you about my experiences in certain places in London and if I would recommend visiting and any tips on doing so! So as well as doing that I also have on my explorers outfit to share, albeit I totally regretted my shoe choice for the day but i’ll get to that in a mo.

The Outfit
My OOTD could of perhaps been a little more suited to the location, however Joe said he was coming in his new Burton suit so I felt like I needed to still dress up. The Mango denim jacket from House of Fraser is my new go to Spring jacket for all outings and days out, as it’s comfy and goes with everything. As mentioned earlier, the shoes were a bit of a mistake! They are only a small chunky heel but we walked and walked until I felt my legs were going to drop off. I love the setting of the outfit pictures and how they turned out but note to self, next time I want an adventure exploring a new part of London; wear trainers and some sensible bottoms (IE not a retro mini skirt)!
Jacket – Mango at House of Fraser
Top – Primark
Skirt – Miss Selfridge
Tights – Primark
Boots – schuh

London Exploring // Maritime Greenwich

The day out was to Greenwich, under Joe’s recommendation. I had never been to the area before and could already tell by the map online that it was vast. The website even says it can take more than two visits to see everything and it’s right! If you plan to explore it’s more than likely you will leave having not seen everything and already wanting to plan your next trip.
The travel felt like a bit of a treck because we had to get the overground and change a few times but it was really worth it. The views are beautiful, and on a sunny Spring day it really makes the extra mile worth it. Most of the buildings and Maritime museum is free entry but I would suggest taking a packed lunch or picnic as the cafe is rather expensive (especially if on a budget like me).
The building make fantastic photos and the scenery is spectacular, if you go on a quiet week day then even better as we experienced large crowds due to bank holiday!
Next time i’d definitely pack a picnic on a sunny day and go walk up to the Royal Observatory which we couldn’t quite get to after hours of walking (be warned it’s a steep hill, trainers or comfy shoes are a must)!
