Yesterday was one of those days in life you know will always hold a place in your memory. For me it was exactly one of those, for it was the opening (Private view) of my University exhibition. Finally, Buttercup was on display and those who came along made the evening a huge success, so I’m very happy it all went well. Especially that my mum and stepdad came to see my work, and that they are proud of me, that is all that matters. Everyone on my course has done so well, so proud to be graduating with them, the talent is beyond fantastic.
I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t plan a pretty outfit for such an event. So when it came to choosing I spent most of the week rummaging my wardrobe, need to save the pennies so something new wasn’t an option. However, I forgot completely that I had this stripe number already in the post from Sheinside! Couldn’t have come as a more perfect time. What I love about stripes is they can be worn dressed up and down, and this dress seemed to be the perfect style of, yes, ‘smart casual’ (the dreaded category) haha. I luckily had this lovely blue blazer that I spotted in a charity shop for £1!! Stripes and any floral crown are a massive treat in my opinion, I love how they go together and can’t really explain why! Overall I was happy with how my outfit turned out, especially getting an occasion to wear something pretty from Crown & Glory. I hope you like my outfit too and also the photos I have now released of Buttercup. If you haven’t brought a copy yet then please go check out my Etsy, your support means a great deal to me.
