The top 2 images of this set I actually have, the card cushions were brought with Chris in mind as he is a fan of poker and his artistic style is very similar, fair to say we both love these. I couldn’t help myself when I saw this mustache coat hook in Wilkinson’s, so that’s brought and tucked away ready for the move. The picture of the frame wall is from my Pinterest and is one of many that I have ‘pinned’ to keep for inspiration. Lastly, that is a photo I took from the latest Ikea catalogue, I love the really quirky print on that rug and the colours would look fab with the cushions and youthful fun theme. The button wall decor is so me and simply awesome, going to have to treat myself to those.
This is another image off my ‘Home sweet home’ board from Pinterest. This is probably one of my favorite looks I have come across for a living room. We have a brown corner sofa so wont be at white but I love the colourful accessories. It is fun and fresh and just has a really youthful vibe about it which I love.
Another pinned image, love the brown chair and more retro feel to the room. It is quite sophisticated but still modern which is great for an artistic young people. The cushions and throw make the room that bit more homely and I think touches like that are so important!
Lastly, I made a collage on photoshop of my bedroom ideas. I have a lot of things sorted and have been planning my colours and decor for months! Now I finally have the image of the room is will be going in in my head I can get an idea of how it will look. I have a wooden bed like the one in the photo, which we will be getting 2 matching wardrobes 1 each! I will be having a 3 door ones though and Chris a 2 door!! My mum has found an amazing vintage drawer cabinet which she is going to paint in duck egg blue, my plan is to find and paint a dressing table in the same colours. the blue and the tan of the wooden furniture will really compliment each other. As for accessories, I have brought a lovely polka dot bed cover, cushions, a grey blanket, netted ball lights I won at the Southampton blog event, and I have 2 vintage suitcases to make a lovely feature in the room. I think when it all comes together this could possibly be my favorite place to chill out and relax after working, and of course to do my blogging.
Our kitchen is so cosy and cute and needs a lick of paint but I already have some ideas for it!! I plan on making this place homely, fun and all about my life with Chris. It makes me happy we can finally start our adult life properly together and I can have somewhere to call ours. Not only that but I have been dreaming of my own relaxing atmosphere for far too long. Counting down the minutes.
