As part of the Craftember Challenge, I have created this Felt Flower Autumn Wreath Decoration. It’s a lovely make for any home, to freshen up your decor for autumn-winter. It doesn’t require many materials and is easy to make. Keep reading to see more.

What you need:

For this tutorial you will need:

  • Felt sheets X7 colours
  • Scissors
  • Wooden hoop
  • Glue Gun
  • Pearl Beads
  • Ribbon
  • Either hand cut the flower shapes or use a Cricut.

How to make it:

If using Cricut you can search for flower templates on the Design Space in projects. It is much easier when using Cricut as takes time away from printing templates and hand cutting. You can, of course, hand-cut them as well and there are loads of free templates on Pinterest.

Once cut start to assemble the pieces by gluing together with a glue gun. My personal favourites are the scalloped edged style flowers that roll up to look like roses.

Wrap ribbon around the wooden hoop to decorate it, gluing every few cm.

Once the flowers have been put together and the ribbon is on the wooden hoop you just need to glue the flowers on. This is a really easy tutorial to make and because the felt flowers can be hand-cut anyone can make this. It’s a great tutorial for any craft level and for an easy way to decorate your home. You can make the flowers in whatever colours you choose but I went for bright but autumnal shades. Overall this make took me about 2 hours with the help of the Cricut. If you were to hand-cut the flowers it would probably double the make time. I hope you enjoyed seeing how I made it and I would love to see your recreations. Share your makes with the hashtag #CraftemberChallenge and don’t forget to join in with the rest of the November craft challenge on Instagram.
