Howdy Hey, back with another post exploring London! I love making the most of the new city I live in, there is never a dull day here and every place you go is different. Today’s post is from when I went to explore South Kensington on my own on a lonely Saturday. I decided to make the most of some free time, take my camera and go enjoy the sights. South Kensington is only a bus journey from where I live and it’s been on my to do list for a while. It’s known for it’s tourists attractions such as the V&A Museum and History Museum, but I went to see the pretty streets and lost corners that aren’t always appreciated through the hustle and bustle of tourists.

Whilst exploring and wandering around the main streets as well as back streets I realized just how well kept and pretty everything is. It is like something out of a film and makes you wish you had loads of money to enjoy it all! I did however pop into the new Maitre Choux, a little bakery dedicated to making the finest eclairs known to man. Of course I couldn’t walk away without one (or two) and spend a bit of my birthday money on them. One lovely eclair is £5.50 so not bad for the amount of detail, love and attention involved, it’s a small price to pay for artist quality. They tasted pretty darn good as well!

Other than the typical tourist attractions and sights I would recommend coming here to meet friends and family to eat out. There are some great cafes and restaurant from day to day ones and others more posh and special. All in all it is a lovely place to wander, and even when the heavens opened not long after taking some outfit photos, the place never looks dreary.

My outfit is a simple ensemble perfect for casual weekends. I got the popper up skirt from Topshop, as it’s one of those styles this season that you can wear every day. With a pretty blouse and bright cardie it’s the combo to brighten any day wherever you go.

Cardie – Pull & Bear

Skirt – Topshop

Blouse – Chicwish

Tights – Primark

Shoes – Newlook

Cottage bag – Vendula London
