Just one of those crafty girls | Crafty Blogger Meet Up

Hello hello! This post may take some time to get through, so bare with me. On sunday, Sammy (from the Cookie Button) and I hosted an event in Bristol, you may have already seen some info about it on twitter!! If not though, we set out to get some lovely bloggers together to get crafty and work magic with their hands to create something beautiful. It took weeks of planning and on the day not as many people showed up as we had hoped for, but that just meant there were plenty of materials for everyone to make a few things. We had head bands, hair pins, hair clips, rings, brooches and more!! The lovely Stephanie (Stephanie Dreams) even made us bracelets, as you will see in the photos below.

Couldn’t have suited the day more!!

Steph and I signifying our love through craft, as she made us these pretty flower bracelets. Shame mine broke on the train! Looks like we have just got married… n’awwww! haha.

This burgundy head band won our prize for being the most creative, one of the lovely ladies who works at the birdcage chose it for the use of studs as it’s ‘bang on trend’. Below are a few other examples of what some of the girls made. Fair to say all of them turned out amazingly, was very impressed.

Joe (Unlimited by JK) made his more ‘masculine’ bow tie, that we supplied a little separate craft kit for him.

A few of the goodies I made before and on the day! So much fun to get crafty and make your own hand-made things that you know are unique.

My outfit for the day ended up being a lot more minimal than I originally planned. I am glad I went for my pretty ModDolly dress though, as it is subtle but delicate, meaning accessorise are more open to experimentation. I wanted to wear my chelsea doll necklace, custom made to say ‘Paige Joanna’, as I was hosting I thought it would be a cute addition to my outfit. Teaming the look up with black polka dot tights, my Topshop sandals and a denim jacket.
