With the countdown to Christmas in full swing, it’s time to get festive and crafty! I have put together a tutorial for these Easy His & Hers Christmas Stockings featuring Cricut. Keep reading if you would like to see how to make them in time for Christmas.

What you need:

  • Linen Stockings X2 – Hobby Craft
  • Cricut Explore Air 2
  • Cricut Iron On Glitter Vinyl in red, green and gold
  • Craft Pom-Poms
  • Glue Gun
  • Lace Trimming
  • Cricut Easy Press
  • Twine/String
  • Heat Proof Mat & Ironing Paper

How to make Easy His & Hers Christmas Stockings

Step 1: Cut the lace trim to the width of the top of the stocking. Once cut glue in place with a glue gun. Then place on about ten different sized colourful pom-poms and glue in place.

Step 2: Cut a piece of twine or string about 20cm long and tie in a little knot at the end. Glue the knot inside the stocking at the top edge.

Step 3: Create the His & Hers text on Cricut Design Space in your chosen font. I went with a bold font for ‘His’ and a cursive font for ‘Hers’ just to mix it up a little bit.

Step 4: Once you have created the fonts, cut them out using the Cricut Explore Air 2. Also, cut 6 different sized gold stars to go around the text.

Step 5: When the vinyl is cut weed off any excess vinyl you don’t need and turn on the Cricut Easy Press. Heat it and press on your letters and stars on each stocking.

Hang them up for Santa

The DIY is super easy and simple to make but it looks really cute. Hang them up on your fireplace or somewhere in your home to make your decorations more personal and creative. Using the Cricut is so simple and it makes crafting and personalisation really easy and fun. What do you think of these stockings, would you make them? Let me know in the comments!
