A couple of weeks ago I swung by the Live True salon in Putney. They got in contact to ask if I would like to review an Olaplex Treatment and hair cut at the Live True London Hair Salon. Of course, I said yes you guys guys know I love getting my hair done. It was amazing to try another salon branch I hadn’t before so the question is how how it?
The Treatment
I had an Olaplex treatment which was kept on my hair for about 15 to 20 minutes. The experience started at the sinks, with a wash and then the Olaplex. The only thing I found difficult was the sinks as they weren’t that comfortable when laying there for quite a while. However, I managed to move around and drink a tea, so all was good.
Once my hair was cut and dry I could really notice the difference to my hair. The frazzled edges seemed sleeker, it was softer to touch and glossy. Those three things I hadn’t seen for a good few months! It certainly was an extremely valuable treatment worth having, especially on colour treated hair like mine.
The Cut
The hair cut was exactly what I needed. We spoke about how I wanted it and after a quick discussion about freshening it up and my usual style this is how it came out. Natalie the stylist was wonderful, she was so chatty and open making me feel at ease. The cut was just what I wanted, having 2 inches off and some shape put back in. It feels so much better and I have had so many compliments on it since! (I must remember that shorter hair looks cool).
Overall Experience at Live True
The salon wasn’t what I initially expected when I walked in. The decor although cool, seemed very open and quite cold. However, the staff were so warm and friendly I soon found myself right at home. I instantly got offered a drink and Natalie who looked after me was incredible. She has an amazing aura about her and I loved her energy.
I’d definitely go back to the salon for a treatment and cut again. It seemed like a really nice spot in South West London to pop in for a blow dry or treatment. The salons demographic is really mixed as well, children to older women (and men, I think.. maybe check that one)!
