POUNDLAND

Poundland have some amazing home and craft items in right now. I always pop in there to see what things they have, if theres any home decor or craft bits I like I often buy and up-cycle them. This time I managed to get a good variety of items to make them into awesome unique things. I brought a wooden crate, fairy lights, pearl trim, gingham ribbon, a home wooden sign, glass bottle and batteries, all for under £10!

Wooden Crate – DIY 1

Poundland light up crate decor wedding

This wooden crate was perfect for up-cycling with some simple yet effective accessories. With the added pearl trim and fairy lights it makes a romantic decor piece. It would be great for weddings, birthday presents and desk storage. Pop in some wrapped gifts, or have on a table for you wedding cards. Easy and effective!

Gingham Lace up Trainers – DIY 2

This DIY is so super easy yet effective. I love being able to pimp up a fashion item easily to make it into something new, hello make do and mend! I took out the plain white laces and replaced them with this awesome gingham ribbon, on trend and cute.

Wooden Home Sign – DIY 3

I do love a cute sign in my home decor, but making my own was even better. Poundland sell these wooden home letters, perfect for painting or making your own. I decided to do something different and use paper and glue to create this scrap book effect.

Glass Bottle – DIY 4

And then lastly, this marble painted drip effect on a glass bottle. Using acrylic paint, I heavily dotted the paint on the inside and blew it so the drips would spread out. It as a bit of trial and error but I really like how it came out. Would be great in all different colours for anyone wanting some easy arty pieces in there decor.

I hope you liked these DIY’s, let me know what you think in the comments and if you make any of them, share your pics using the hashtag #PaigeJoannaDIY
