Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year. For me, presents, food and games in the company of loved ones is exactly what Christmas is all about. These are my Christmas traditions and the reason I absolutely love it. However, despite that festive cheer, the build-up to Christmas can be a very stressful. Manic shopping, endless arranging and finding the time for everything around work makes Christmas the busiest time of the year. From finding a dress for the Christmas work party to picking the right presents for your family. Fitting everything into your schedule seems physically impossible at times.

Online Dress Company Lets You Try Before You Buy!

Enter Duchess London, a fashion brand based in the UK’s capital that may have just set a new trend in the fashion industry and prompted sighs of relief around the country. It comes in the shape of an innovative and convenient new service called My Fitting Room. Duchess London is the first company in Europe to offer such a service. The team have complete faith that it will become more and more popular in the future.

This service is designed for women who have a hectic schedule, but still prefer to take time over choosing the right outfit. Needing a convenient way of finding that perfect evening dress or cocktail dress. My Fitting Room allows those with a busy work and social life the time to find high-quality dresses online, without the risk of not liking them.

So How Does it Work?

The aim is to offer customers the opportunity to try dresses on before buying, removing any risk of being unsatisfied. You choose up to three dresses from the Duchess London website. These are then sent to your address, so you are able to spend time in the comfort of your own home trying them on. You can then assess the fit and feel, before making an educated decision on if any option is right for you.

Within 24 hours of the dresses arriving at your doorstep, you email Duchess London informing them of your decision. Whichever dresses do not take your fancy are then collected from your home. You pre-authorise the price amount of the dresses beforehand, so you will only be charged once you have informed Duchess London that you intend to keep that gorgeous peplum dress or cocktail dress. So, if you fall in love with one dress and decide on keeping it, the others will be collected and you will be charged just for the chosen dress. If none are for you, you won’t be charged a penny!

Convenient Right?

Dresses often have to be tried on to know if they’re right. My Fitting Room allows you to find the right dress, no matter the occasion. If you want a statement piece for a party or a wedding, you can have any style sent to your home. You’ll then spend plenty of time debating, trying on and looking in the mirror, without once having to leave the house.

Personally, I do enjoy online shopping, but it always comes with its risks and can be a hassle. There is an inevitable gamble involved and, sometimes, you need to return items that don’t fit or weren’t as you’d imagined. With this ‘Try Before You Buy’ concept brought to online shopping, you don’t have any of that added stress.

Whether you don’t have the free time on the weekend, or you just need to shop for Christmas but don’t want to enter the chaos, My Fitting Room can help you. I can’t see any better way of avoiding crowds than spending a bit of free time after work. Choose your perfect dress in the comfort of your own home. What do you think? Let me know in the comments if you think this concept is a great idea.
