Living in a major city is so much fun but extremely tiring. City Life during Autumn means you feel cold one minute and the dry heat of public transport the next. Choosing something to wear is particularly difficult especially when rushing around.
City Life
City life has it’s ups and downs but the majority of the time it’s so busy you don’t get a moment to consider things. My favourite thing to do is stop for coffee whatever my plans are. The amount of cafes and coffee shops are endless and can be the answer to getting through a busy day. You’ll often see me dashing straight from work to an event, so I live on coffee and careful planning. With the hot and cold of outdoor weather contrasting to public transport heat, it isn’t easy to choose an outfit. With the help of River Island I chose a couple of pieces to help assist me in my quest to find perfect items.

What to Wear
The answer of what to wear is layers, lots of light weight ones. I chose this lovely leopard jacket because it’s knee length and thick enough to keep me warm but light enough to not overheat. The best thing about a jacket like this is you can take it off and pop in your bag easily. Wearing simple items like a denim shirt, skirt and tights means you can adapt it depending on the weather. put on a vest under the shirt when it gets really cold or a sweater over it.
A good pair of winter boots that look stylish but can also be rushed about in, are crucial. These patent ones have a chunky gold heel that isn’t too high for walking in. They are fab because you can pop on a pretty dress and go straight from the office to an event in these boots. They are the perfect dressed up or down style which when living in the City is great, as things can always crop up last minute.
