LFW season is now over for another half a year and Autumn has also been making a chilly appearance. Transitional dressing is essential as the days get colder, so it was fun to experiment during LFW.
Autumn Outfit
During the Autumn I try to keep my outfits still light weight, bright and fun. If there is one thing I hate it is suddenly going from summer colours to autumnal sludge of greys, burgundies and green brands troll out every year. I find it so boring seeing the same shades every season, so I try really hard not to conform. Colour should be for all year round and I am especially loving dusky shades of pink right now. With pink velvet’s everywhere, satin’s and ruffles in all shades, that look so pretty. Mixing textures is a lovely way to start layering in Autumn and to keep looks interesting.
This outfit is highly inspired by Asos’s current Grannies Attic trend (that I have followed before it was in fashion, may I add). Mixing a ruffled lace blouse, pleated midi skirt, biker jacket, mary Jane shoes and lots of embellishment accessories. Making a retro look modern is my speciality, with the modern bun hair and choker it brings it into the 21st century! Fair to say, i’ll be continuing my love for granny chic styling this season.
