Jacket season is upon us and I have started early preparing my New Season Autumn wardrobe. My favourite looks coming in so far are ruffled blouses, butterfly patches and prints as well as plaid skirts. I combined a few styles that will be seen a lot on the high-street this season into one look and it is already getting me excited.

It seems quite soon to be talking about Autumn and wearing more layers, but it’s well on it’s way. This outfit is a great transitional style, with enough light layers but still bare legs. The jacket is my goto right now, as the style is plain but I adore the embellishments of butterfly patches, I also added the badges from Accesorize. As new items start to land in stores it’s getting me excited for Autumn layering and styling, although  I can’t help but feel sad summer has nearly passed. I decided to put down a few trends you may want to start taking a look at:

1. Butterflies!!

As seen in my LFW Roundup post, I mention a lot of butterfly prints coming in. Expect to see butterflies on printed dresses, patches on denim, hair accessories, bags and more! they are definitely a must have this season.

2. Ruffled shirts and blouses:

Asos was where I first became aware of this trend coming in, they have countless ruffled items from 70’s retro vibes to clean cut shirts. That is what I love about ruffled styles is that anyone can pull them off as there are plenty of options to suit different styles. This white one is from Dorothy Perkins and is a great basic piece for the new season.

3. Plaid Skirts:

They are coming back in again, with a more a-line shape and longer length. I love plaid skirts as they go with so many top styles and can be dressed up or down.
So that is my small introduction into new season autumn styles, but i’ll be sure to touch upon more over the next month. For now though, I hope you like my new blog design, let me know what you think in the comments!
