Back again with another Dorothy Perkins post, you can see my previous post here where I styled a cape and tote bag. This time I was set the challenge to style a Autumn/winter basic, ‘the parka’ for the DP coat guide. You all know already how much I love Dorothy Perkins, and they are absolutely killing it at the moment with the new season stock and the Style Heroes campaign helping to stream line your wardrobe with 10 key essential pieces. They have broken it into easy categories so you can shop the must have items for the season, then mix and match for versatile outfit building.
I chose the parka coat because it is one of those items that everyone should own, and once you do you can wear it for years. I went for a dark khaki coloured one with white fur trim and gold details. I have only just got into this colour and realised it looks great against the red hair! The outfit also has other items from DP, the striped Metallic roll neck jersey top and brown boots that I brought recently. Teamed with my trusty button up skirt, Orla Kiely bag and grey tights for a look I know i’ll be wearing over and over again over the next few months!
