Hello again chums, This week has been a good one for blogging, I am feeling really positive about things! Autumn is approaching and with each day shows signs of orange leaves and a chill in the air. Okay, so I am not excited for being cold, I am however excited about updating my wardrobe (of course)!
I have collaborated with Dorothy Perkins (my ultimate fav shop), to show you their Style Heroes AW15 must have wardrobe staple pieces for the new season. They have made it really easy for you with a landing page straight to where you can see all the new trends, editors picks as well as collaborations and tips. The key message is to have 10 key items that you can mix and match yet still portray those essential new popular styles in your own way.
The key items I have chosen in this looks are ‘The Skinny Pant’ and ‘The Tote Bag’.
The skinny ‘pant’, or jeans more like, are their skinny ultra soft ones in the style ‘Darcy’. They fit like a dream and I haven’t felt good in a pair of jeans in so long due to being in between sizes but I know i’m going to get loads of wear in these. The great thing about this classic style is they will take you from week to weekend without any problems. I can’t wait to start wearing jeans again, especially now I have found a pair comfortable for me.
Everyone needs a tote bag of this size, perfect for work days, trainers for the gym, or if you simply like a big bag (like me)! It is practical yet doesn’t compromise on styling, especially in this floral print which is a fantastic statement option to accompany any minimal outfits.
Lastly, I styled the items with a delicate blouse from Chicwish and topped it off with a grey cape and hat, both from Dorothy Perkins. The cape or ‘wrap’ is perfect for the in-between weather days where it’s not quite cold enough for a heavy jacket.
