Grey days are ending slowly & Check Tea Dress

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m getting pretty fed up now of feeling cold and the dark nights. I can’t wait to have the warm sun against my skin again and not have to worry about layering and comfort. On a more positive note I do love my coats and obviously cold days mean I get to continually grow my collection. This grey coat worn with this Check Tea Dress is a lovely combination for Winter.

In this post I’m wearing one of my plainest but most valued coats my Nan brought me from a charity shop! It’s a vintage grey wool one from Marks and Spencer. I love wearing it with outfits when I feel they deserve a more grown up, Parisian vibe.

I got this beautiful plaid/tartan dress from Chicwish and it’s such a lovely shape and fit. It has long sleeves which I rolled up, a longer length skirt and a tie up waist. I thought the only down side was it didn’t have pockets in, but the style of the dress is so beautiful it didn’t matter! As it is still cold sadly tights were still a must, so I went with some light grey ones to match the coat and the brown boots. I feel with a slightly longer length in skirt I definitely need to wear a heel or wedge of some kind. Being a petite person means I usually find it hard to suit longer styles but this one didn’t make me feel that way at all. If anything I felt really grown up and pretty in it!! Chicwish have loads of new styles coming out for Spring from now so they are definitely worth a look and up there in my top 3 fav shops!
