Today is the day! Buttercup is finally ready to be released. Firstly, thank you to everyone who helped me with it! Especially Megan for modelling and checking my spelling :)!! Steph, Chloe and my sister Ashleigh for modelling and assisting me! But mainly a huge thank you to my best friend Jodie who helped me to come up with the name Buttercup, after several discussions on childhood memories. We would spend hours in Uni drinking tea and talking about things like, what lunch box we had as children, or what sort of games we would play. One day some of my peers and I all made a den in our studio, all of these feelings led to creating this small fan zine!!
I would have loved to create something with 80 pages and wordy features but I sadly didn’t have the time. What I have done though is put over 20 pages together delicately, with subtle messages of nostalgia and the feeling of youth. Being a student I only have a very limited amount of copies, so I want to apologize if you have wanted one for ages and they are gone. I really hope the copies I do have go to a loving home!! You can enjoy the added extras, complete with dress up dolly and stickers. Maybe soon I can upload an online copy for everyone to see, but until then enjoy these whimsical photos I have taken for you. I have put my heart into this project and I love being able to share it here, to all of you.

‘I often wonder if I spend too much time thinking about the past, dreaming of long summer days spent in the garden, being young and carefree. However I then started discussing these feelings with my peers, and that feeling spread. Even the smallest of memories are precious, like holding a buttercup to your friends chin and asking if they like butter. The little things that made us smile back in the day, are the ones that should be treasured and remembered.
